A little Introduction…

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (G531F) is additionally protected with FRP protection.

FRP lock is a type of protection, which is invented to protect the phone against unauthorized use – When you reset the phone, it will ask you to sign into the Google Account, which was used to setup the phone. And if you can’t, there’s nothing more you can do, without knowing how to bypass this.

This means that the usual hard reset procedure (3 buttons, then wipe data and cache) will not work, and you will probably need at least a working computer, internet connection and micro USB cable (the one which you use to connect the phone to computer) to get it reset.

By this date (September, 2016), there is two known methods, how you can permanently bypass this FRP protection (Google Sign In screen after usual hard reset procedure), and set up the phone with a new Google Account.

  1. By using OTG cable, and a pendrive or memory card adapter.
  2. By using a microUSB cable, PC and a working internet connection.

As the first method did not worked for me, I will not try to get into it, so lets get to the second option.

Steps to Remove and Completely Bypass the Google Account FRP Lock Security from ANY Samsung Device. Before anything else, you’ll need to find the IMEI number of your device. This is a 15-digit code that’s going to determine the identity of your device. Every Samsung device out there has an IMEI which is used for multiple purposes. Of course, Factory Reset Protection is a useful feature. However, problems with activating a new account can also occur with a person that bought a used smartphone. In this situation, there is no theft involved. Still, the buyer doesn’t have the option to activate their account. How to Bypass FRP on Samsung.

1. Step – you must reflash your phone, to the firmware, which was released before December, 2015. (your phone probably has a newer firmware already, which contains a security patch for this bypass method)

Firmware file and all the instructions here.

2. Step – after you reflash your phone, do the usual hard reset method, just for the safety.

You can do this, by pressing “Volume UP” + “Home button” + “Power button” all together on a switched off phone, to get into recovery mode. After you’ve pressed these three buttons, don’t let them go, until you see, that the recovery mode is starting (screen flashes). When you see the menu, just choose the option “Wipe data / factory reset”, then choose “YES”. After this procedure, choose “Wipe cache”, and then reboot the phone.

3. Step – Download and install a SideSync application on your computer. Start it up, and when it shows “Starting SideSync…” with all the instructions (1.,2.,3) how to connect to the phone, leave it alone.

You can download it from this link: http://adf.ly/1di1bL (skip the ads)

4. Step – Turn on the phone, as usual, and do the setup procedure, without inserting a SIM card. When asked for a Wi-Fi connection, connect the phone to your Wi-Fi network, and continue. When asked for “End User License Agreement”, check the option “I understand and agree”. Under the agreement, there should be another option “You agree to provide Samsung the error log data…..”. Choose “No thanks” option and press “Next”.

Note: Also, when you see a popup with text “Allow Google to regulary check device activity for security problems…”, click “Decline” every time, until the FRP is fully bypassed.

5. Step – Now you should see the message, which asks to Sign into a Google account, which was previously synced on the device. Don’t enter anything, and connect your phone to the PC, by using a micro USB cable, with SideSync Application already opened in your computer.

6. Step – After a short while you should see on your phone screen “Open with” dialog box, with two or three options. Choose any of the browsers (Chrome or Internet), choose either “Just Once” or “Always”, and go to this address:

7. Step – You should immediately see that the “Downloading…” message on your phone screen. After a few seconds (when the download seems to be completed), click on the back button, until you’re at the browser start screen, which has an “OK” button. Don’t worry if you accidently exit the browser, just reconnect the phone, choose any browser, and click on the “OK” button. You should see the Google play store, with an option which offers you to install “SideSync” application on your phone. Don’t install it, just press on the “SEARCH” button, and type in “es file explorer”. Download and install “ES File Explorer” application (made by Estrongs). When asked for a Samsung account, just use one of your existing ones, or create a new one.

8. Step – When you’ve installed an “ES File Explorer” application, open it (click on “OPEN” right after it’s installed), and navigate to the “Download” directory. There should be an frpb.apk file, which you downloaded earlier. Open it, and click “Install”. When you see the “Install blocked” screen, click on “Settings”, and allow the installation from unknown sources. Then continue with installing the application. Open it, right after it is installed.
